FIFA10 Tekken 6 and DOTA fever hits the new year at the Winter Gaming Fest

A Winter Gaming Fest opened the new year at Wiredup with loads of participants of FIFA10, Tekken6, COD MW2 on PS3 and Dota on PC. The FIFA10 fans were thrilled to participate in the first tournament of the year and compete with local talent. "Sharab" won the 1vs1 challenge on PS3 while "Faizaan and Nayab" won the 2vs2 challenge. Babar (Scheva) once again took the PC (1vs1) challenge. For Tekken6 the tournament Faraz and Safir were the finalists.

Karachi Inter-University Gaming Tournament brings glory to students

Students from across Karachi (karachi gamers) representing 12 of the top universities came together at Wiredup on Nov 6,7,8 for the final rounds battling head to head with their rivals in various game titles (CS, DOTA, FIFA09, PES, Ashes). Djuice National Gaming Championship 2009 comes to an end! 

The “Djuice National Gaming Championship 2009” came to an end on Aug 16, 2009 at the
 EXPO Center in Karachi after a month long journey from July 14th in search for the best teams and players (pakistani gamers) for various popular PC and Video Games in Pakistan.  Qualifying rounds were held in 8 cities across 40 gaming zones in Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Pindi, RahimYar Khan, Bahawalpur, Hyderabad and Quetta in which a total of 3,031 participants registered to play.  There were a total of 6 popular games for which the championship was held; Counter Strike 1.6, Defense of the Ancients (DOTA, Call of Duty 4 (COD4), Medal of Honor –Allied Assault (MOHAA), FIFA09 (on PC and PlayStation 3), Need for Speed –Most Wanted (NFS-MW)....read more

City FM89 StoryTelling Competition! 

In celebration of Storytelling week coming up between January 30^th and February 6^th CityFM89 is launching a Storytelling competition that invites people of all ages to participate and send us their stories in a creative and fun way.

City FM89 will be printing up to 20 of the winning entries as a compilation and will also giveaway an Apple MacBook to the winner of the competition this person will be chosen by the CEO of Dawn Newspaper, Hameed Haroon.
